From the available clinical data, which consists of eight uncontrolled and four controlled clinical trials, we can conclude that to date there is no evidence to show that shark cartilage is an effective cure for cancer. There are reports of adverse effects for the oral supplementation of shark cartilage, as well as the injection or enema procedure, but no serious events are on record. The risk-benefit profile is therefore negative.
