CAM systematic reviews
A systematic review is a literature review focused on a single question which tries to identify, appraise, select and synthesis all high quality research evidence relevant to that question.
The CAM-Cancer Consortium has conducted systematic reviews to answer a number of questions relating to the use of CAM for the prevention and treatment of cancer:
- Complementary/alternative therapies for the treatment of breast cancer
- Laetrile for cancer treatment
- Exploring the quality of patient reported outcome research in complementary and alternative medicine in oncology
- Selenium for preventing cancer (Cochrane review)
- Selenium for the side effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery in cancer patients (Cochrane review)
- Thymus extracts for cancer (Cochrane review)
The abstracts of these reviews will be published on this site as and when they become available.
